We love this place. The gyro salad or chicken supreme salads have been my go to meals. They also have great appetizers and delicious breakfast. Husband loves the wings and steak dinners too. Family friendly and always great service. The manager is always checking on tables and seems involved in every aspect of the Resturant, nice guy. We will continue to come back. Our favorite local spot. Accepts credit cards. We dine in and carry out. Resturant is a diner type, clean and well kept.

This place smells. Like the 80's. Like smoke and grease from the good old days when you used to smoke inside of eating establishments. This joint used to be a Pappans back in the day and it hasn't changed since. The same old registers used 15 years ago, the same vinyl booths with cracks that pinch your skin when you wear shorts in the summer. If you can get over the smell of this joint then sit down. They have the worlds largest menu. The portions are huge and this is not a place to go to if you are on a diet. I ordered the pancakes which tasted like rubber and I would have been better off getting the hot cakes at McDonalds. The remaining citizens of New Castle over 60 seem to frequent here. I have the feeling if it wasn't for them getting their daily fix of a cup of coffee where they don't even tip the waitress, this joint wouldn't be open.

We went there for the first time, and have to admit it did not dissapoint. The food was amazing (breakfast) and the wait staff was prompt and polite. Their portions where large and the price was really nice to the wallet. We pass this place all the time and never went there to eat. Now we are glad we finally decided to stop in for a great meal

Before comics shopping in Ellwood City and after Kay got her brand-new Kaymobile, we were headed to a Ruby Tuesday, for I longed...for something I hadn't had in too long, a Triple Prime Burger. However, seeing one independent restaurant after another during our travels wracked me with guilt over wanting to go to a chain. Once we passed the curiously-named Hugger Mugger, I had enough and asked Kay to turn around. It turns out that the name Hugger Mugger is an actual term used to denote secrecy and reticence. Well, let this wonderful diner be a secret no more, and do not be hesitant to come here for you will miss out on fine, simple, homemade All-American fare. Skipping appetizers, this killer of burgers immediately lunged towards their Mother Ship Gut Buster, a Kaiser bun-enveloped gargantua built of two Angus beef patties that was seemingly conceived when five Superburgers happened to be in close vicinity to a gamma bomb blast before being smashed together seconds earlier. It bled with juice, and its lettuce, pickle, and onion cracked as I chomped on and gnashed at it. I flipped it several times to gain some sort of an advantage, and just as with many a beastly burger, a massive knife was shoved right down the middle of it upon service. Eventually, the titan was devoured, and I relished its beefy flavors immensely. I could've gotten french fries but felt like something different. The hefty, crusty, sturdily battered onion rings that I ended up ordering with my burger were accompanied by a ranch dressing dipping sauce and made for a fine side dish. For dessert (they don't list them on the website oddly enough) came a typical hot fudge brownie sundae called "Chocolate Sin" or something along those lines. You know I always have to try them, right? This one passed muster with a cakey, but not rich 'n fudgy warmed-up brownie that I found to be a nice change of pace. The REAL dessert story, however, lies in their chocolate chunk cookies, which are prepared on the premises, and achieve the perfect balance of crispness, pliability, sugariness, brininess, and of course, unadulterated richness. As wide as a tea saucer and as thick as a novella, I bought one that was wrapped in cellophane at the register as we checked out, planning to save it for later, but the temptation was too great. Remember my Moio's scandal? I was unfaithful. Again. Kay went to run an errand, got back sooner that I expected, and caught me with the cookie, still wrapped, in tender embrace. She opened the door to her bedroom, caught a glimpse of the tryst, and opened her mouth. Before she could speak I slipped it under a pillow. "It's not what you think, Kay! Please don't leave meee!" We'll be going to counseling starting next week. Our server was sweet, efficient, and flattered when we told her about the swerve in our plans and how much we liked Hugger Mugger. Hell, they're open 'til 10PM everyday. Ya got over 2 hours as I write this early on a Sunday evening. Go! Don't be a bugger. Head over to Hugger Mugger, slugger.

8/27/15 - A fire a couple of months ago shut down poor Hugger Mugger. To date there are no signs of ongoing repairs or a "grand reopening soon", although that could change tomorrow.

My favorite place to go with my family for breakfast or lunch. Very affordable and the staff is so friendly. My grandpa raves about this place and how great the staff is. His favorite is the Alaskan whitefish because it's very good and plenty of food. Its all you can eat and they always box up a serving to go. Their salads are very good as well. Great small town diner place.

I'm going with a 4. The tuna melt I got was not only superb, it was so huge, I took half of it home along with their very good cole claw. I should have a nice lunch tomorrow out of it. I also loved their sugar-free apple pie. Our server was really nice too. I'm so glad we came here instead of Ruby Tuesday. Darren's burger scared me! lol. But I never count out my sexy man. He'll finish anything.
